About you *
Tell the employer about yourself. Include experience, skills & qualities that make you stand out to the employer. Think about what makes you the right fit for the course/role you’re interested in. You can also tell the employer about your future plans and why you’re keen to develop in this industry.
If you are applying from outside of the North West area you will need to consider relocating.
We understand that some employers may hesitate to hire someone who needs to relocate. To strengthen your application, you will be prompted to add a brief paragraph explaining your commitment to relocating and why you’re excited about the opportunity. This can help reassure employers and improve your chances of securing an interview. Consider the following before committing to relocating for a job:
- Living away from family and friends
- Additional living/transport costs
- Location

The Apprenticeship Matching Service uses information you have provided on your application form, as well as any supporting documents, references, or records from interviews as part of the registration process. The University of Central Lancashire complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 whenever it processes personal data.

Only authorised employees of the university have access to your data for the purpose of recruiting you on to a Degree Apprenticeship vacancy. We will only pass your information on to employers who have registered vacancies via The Apprenticeship Matching Service but more specifically those we have matched your application to and that you have expressed an interest in.
Your data is also shared with the Education and Skills Funding Agency once you are successful in your application to join a funded training course. Your information may also be shared with third parties for education, training, employment, and well-being related purposes, including research. This will only take place where the law allows it, and the sharing is in compliance with data protection legislation.
Your data will be stored exclusively for the above-mentioned purpose of carrying out the recruitment process. Your information will be securely destroyed after it is no longer required for these purposes.
